Not exactly like them, no, but there's plenty out there that wouldn't mind turning kids into mice. Some of them make deals with demons in order to practice that kind of stuff, and others just have a predisposition towards it.

They all have reasons for getting into it... Pretty much all witches I've ran into are generally bad news, though. So Dahl got that right.

Why would somebody make a deal with a demon? That seems dangerous. They can't be trusted.

They're human souls twisted up and made corrupt.
They don't really have a lot of 'good' traits.

They can't actually exist on the planet in a normal body without forcefully taking the body of a human.

Other creatures can be good or bad.
It's not about what they are, Jack. It's about what they do. How they use what they have. What they are.

If this is about your fear of being evil, or turning bad just because of who made you... you're more than capable of being a good person.

You still have a chance to be better than where you came from.
