But can also be summoned into dreams after any praying that is directed to 'angels' or to Lucifer directly.)

I wouldn't be so sure of what Castiel could or couldn't do. He's an angel who has lived a very long time, after all. That is a lot of years to have done some ill-intended things... Besides, you could always ask Sam. He knows all about Castiel's little betrayal.

[Lucifer shrugs, playing it off as something that isn't really something he's that interested in. It's old news, obviously. But... Ah, yes. Lucifer's expression smooths into some kind of sympathy.]

Yes. Yes, Sam is good.

[Decent for a human.]

Angels see him as an abomination, though. He has demon blood in him. He's tainted by evil — and so the angels see him as evil, too. They see him as Lucifer's suit. Dean was the good little soldier, and Sam was the rebellious little monster.

[He smiles thinly. It reminds him of Michael and himself, of course. Maybe that's why he likes Sam more than he's liked most humans.]

Cruel, isn't it? To hate him for something so out of his control.

Something the angels wanted in the first place.
