Lucifer's Dreamwalking

Comment here with your character in the middle of a dream while sleeping at night, and Lucifer will appear.
(He will be appearing at random to new CR, just looking around for company...!
But can also be summoned into dreams after any praying that is directed to 'angels' or to Lucifer directly.)

He stands there with his hands in his pockets, looking somewhat pleased.]
Jack.
You're the first person to call to me — I appreciate that.
I knew there was something about you I liked.
no subject
he's lucifer's son, like it or not.]
Sam and Dean both said that...Christmas was for family. They wouldn't have let me invite you, so...
[his words trail off as he turns his gaze back to the table again. to an imitation of the christmas that the four of them had shared only days ago.]

Lucifer walks closer, not quite sitting down. He puts his hands on the back of the empty chair, looking at Jack with piqued curiosity. And... some small realization.]
Family, huh?
So it's true. You're an angel, aren't you?
[A pause, and he smiles slightly.]
No... No, you're different. You're nephilim.
I have to say — after everyting angels have done to him, I'm surprised Sam Winchester would play house with one and make a little lovechild.

[playing house and making a lovechild. they're not phrases he's heard before, and he wants to ask. but instead, it's the part before that gets his real attention. the idea that angels have hurt sam before. how much has sam kept hidden from him?]
My mom...died when I was born. And. The other you killed Castiel.
[it's truthful enough that he manages to avoid that uncomfortable feeling in his chest. but only barely.]
That's why Sam's taking care of me. They're my family now.
no subject
[He moves, casually, to sit at the table.]
... Hmm. Then your mother was the human in the relationship, was she?
Castiel was your biological father? Angelically speaking.
[Ugh, human and angels bumping uglies. Not a visual he's fond of.
But Jack's more and more confusing of a being.]
no subject
[it makes sense to him. each of the people involved in his life has their own parts to play. but while lucifer and castiel may share the title of father, only one of them is family.]
I never got to meet either of them properly. And...the Castiel that's here. He's from the past.
[he pauses then, looking across at lucifer for a moment. he knows he shouldn't be asking the angel. that when it comes to sam, he should be asking sam directly. but somehow, this is easier]
What did you mean...when you said everything they've done to him? What happened to Sam?
no subject
An unnecessarily complicated family tree, kid.
[But he seems to at least just accept it as it is. Castiel might be his father, then? The kid doesn't seem to quite get how it works — and he looks... a lot like Castiel, in particular ways. Granted, Lucifer's not that chummy with the other angel, be it the stoner or the sourpuss...
He's distracted by the inquiry, and sighs.]
I hate to tell you this, Jack, but angels either hated Sam Winchester, or thought he was a disgusting abomination, practically since the day he was born. And the angels who did pity him still ignored every prayer he ever sent them.
Heck, have you ever asked Castiel what he'd done?
He intentionally helped lead Sam into a trap to unleash yours truly on the world.
no subject
[...would he? he already knows that castiel isn't like other angels. that he turned his back on heaven in order to help sam and dean. so why would he do something to hurt sam? why would he ever want to help release lucifer, knowing what he had planned for the world?
the questions are all ones he doesn't know how to ask. not when he isn't sure whether he's ready to hear the answers or not. castiel is his father for a reason, and his faith in the angel is one of the few things keeping him going.]
...why did the angels hate him? Sam is. Good.
no subject
[Lucifer shrugs, playing it off as something that isn't really something he's that interested in. It's old news, obviously. But... Ah, yes. Lucifer's expression smooths into some kind of sympathy.]
Yes. Yes, Sam is good.
[Decent for a human.]
Angels see him as an abomination, though. He has demon blood in him. He's tainted by evil — and so the angels see him as evil, too. They see him as Lucifer's suit. Dean was the good little soldier, and Sam was the rebellious little monster.
[He smiles thinly. It reminds him of Michael and himself, of course. Maybe that's why he likes Sam more than he's liked most humans.]
Cruel, isn't it? To hate him for something so out of his control.
Something the angels wanted in the first place.
